Meth, marijuana, and guns found during search of Pinehurst home
PINEHURST –– A joint operation between Pinehurst Police, the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, and the Idaho Department of Corrections Probation and Parole led to the arrest of two individuals last week.
Jackson Menke, 35, and Kylie Robinson, 36, were arrested after police executed a warrant at their shared Pinehurst residence, where they reportedly discovered various drugs, paraphernalia, and a cache of firearms.
Both individuals have extensive criminal records, including numerous drug charges and probation violations. According to court records, Robinson was on supervised felony probation at the time of her arrest.
During law enforcement’s search of the home, along with what was believed to be methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, they reportedly discovered thousands of rounds of ammunition, five shotguns, seven rifles, and one pistol. Menke claimed that all of the weapons in the home belonged to him, according to the Probable Cause Affidavit (PCA).
Menke’s previous criminal history is all misdemeanor crime, which allows him to purchase and own firearms. However, due to her prior felony convictions, Robinson is not allowed to have any possession of firearms.
The marijuana was discovered in the same room as the firearms, which Menke alleged used to be his room before he moved into the master bedroom with Robinson. However, he reportedly told police that the marijuana wasn’t his, that he only uses marijuana when he is in Washington State, and that what the officers found must belong to his ex-girlfriend.
Reportedly, the methamphetamine was found in a prescription pill bottle, that had been labeled “my shiny (expletive),” law enforcement conducted a quick field test on the substance within the bottle where it tested presumptive positive for amphetamines, methamphetamine, or fentanyl.
Within the PCA, Robinson initially claimed she had no idea of any meth in the home, and that the pill bottle police found should contain jewelry. Later, she reportedly admitted to possessing meth that would be in a small pink bag along with a pipe. That pink bag was never found during the search.
According to the PCA, the home was littered with dog feces, dirty dishes, and old food, and had a general “lack of cleanliness” that alarmed Pinehurst Police Chief John Richter, considering that Menke’s four children stayed in the home when he had custody of them. Health and Welfare was alerted to the situation as well.
Robinson appeared in court on Friday, where she was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Menke is being charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
