Jimmy (Jim) Clyde Standridge, 80

| October 1, 2024 1:00 AM

Jimmy Clyde (Jim) Standridge, 80, of Pinehurst, Idaho, died at home Sept. 25, 2024. Jim was born in Oakland, Calif., on Aug. 12, 1944.

His family moved to Idaho when Jim was young, and he spent the remainder of his life in North Idaho.

Jim met his future wife, Nancy, at the young age of 14, they married when they were 16 and welcomed the first of three daughters at the age of 17. Being the father of girls, he was outnumbered with four females in the house with only one bathroom.

Jim worked many jobs, with most of his work being outdoors, which he did enjoy. His last job was as a heavy equipment operator for Shoshone County where he retired from in 2003. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding ATVs — pretty much anything outdoors. He always had a good story to share, and it was always fun for his family to try to figure out how much of the story was fact and how much was incorporated to entertain and amaze, especially when his daughters were young and searching his lunch pail for the gnome from the forest.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Ila Mae Standridge; his sister, Jeanette Dodson; and his daughter, Tammy Standridge Sauer.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Standridge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Liz and Kim Cooper and Shelly and Scott Romine; sister and brother-in-law, Shelia Standridge and Doug Kelley; brother Cliff Standridge; five grandsons, Scott and Brandon Alleman, Mike and Cody Cooper and Jeremy Romine.

Per Jim’s wishes, no services will be held.

Memories of Jim and messages of condolence may be shared with his family online at www.shoshonefuneralservice.com. Shoshone Funeral Services, Kellogg, is assisting with arrangements.
