Shoshone CP: Melissa Cowles, Republican Candidate – Shoshone County Commissioner District 1
My name is Melissa Cowles and I am the Republican candidate for Shoshone County District 1 County Commissioner.
I am a small business owner and realtor in Kellogg. Before that, I worked in the construction industry for 17 years as a quality control officer and also at Bunker Hill Mine as the lead lab technician for K.C. Haight Laboratories.
For the past 13 years, I have been a volunteer for the Special Olympics here in the valley as well as a volunteer board member for the Silver Valley Seniors Inc.
I was raised in Rose Lake and my father was a miner at numerous mines throughout the valley. I have lived in Kellogg for the past 26 years with my husband Damien, and our two children, Anthony and Katelyne. We also have been blessed with three beautiful grandchildren Connor, Harley, and Jed.
I love our community and am thankful to be able to enjoy all the outdoor activities our valley and North Idaho has to offer. I look forward to serving the residents of Shoshone County by providing taxpayers transparency in my decision-making, being fiscally responsible with our tax dollars, and showing a level of commitment with my strong work ethics.
