TaTa's Party raises $25K for Silver Valley cancer patients
Organizers of the TaTa's Party raised about $25,000 towards supporting cancer patients in the Silver Valley. The event has been going on for 13 years and donations go towards gas cards and prescription costs that are then distributed by the Shoshone Cancer Resource Center. Artistic bras are donated and auctioned off to raise money for local cancer patients in the Silver Valley during the TaTa's Party. This year's event raised about $25,000 towards gas cards and prescription costs distributed by the Shoshone Cancer Resource Center.
WALLACE — This year’s Tata’s Party raised $25,000 for Silver Valley cancer patients and their families through the Shoshone County Cancer Resource Center.
Ornately decorated bras and other artistically repurposed items and packages are donated and auctioned off to go towards fuel cards for medical treatments and other resources for cancer patients and their families.
The first event took place 13 years ago as a wine night on a smaller scale born out of sisterhood over a friend’s breast cancer diagnosis, but since then, it’s grown into a community-wide event and was held at the Wallace Elks.
