Idella R. Wegner (Dingman), 89

Idella Roberta Wegner (Dingman) was born in Beulah, N.D., on Sept. 23, 1935, and moved to Billings, Mont., when she was 5 ½ years old, then moved to Kellogg, Idaho, in July of 1946, where she went to school.

She married Edwin Dingman on April 7, 1956; they divorced in January 1979.

Idella moved to Coeur d’Alene in July 1982. She worked various jobs until she found her calling at Coeur d’Alene Homes, where she worked for five years. She then worked next door at Heritage Place for five years, retiring at the age of 62.

She loved taking pictures, traveling, music, movies, reading books and driving everywhere to visit friends and relatives. She also loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She belonged to the Rambling Rovers Travel Club for many years. Her best trip was flying to Hawaii, getting on a cruise ship to visit five different islands and then returning to Honolulu to take a plane to Spokane, Wash.

Idella was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Al and Clancy Wegner; sisters Bernice Mason, Betty Snyder and Jenet Vickerman; daughter Linda Jennings; son Mike Dingman; and one great-grandson, Connor Andersen. She is survived by one brother, Rolen Wegner; daughter Anita (Ben) Flachmeyer of Post Falls, Idaho; and son Steven Dingman of Pinehurst, Idaho; five grandchildren: Wendy, Amanda, Jeff, Cory and Amie; three great-grandsons, Ryan, Bryan and Preston; three great-granddaughters, Aubree, McKenzie and Alejandra.
