Cole Allen Tindell, 70
Cole Allen Tindell, 70, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away at his home Jan. 18, 2025. He was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Burbank, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde, and his mother, Irene (Lacey) Tindell.
Cole followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father and was a skilled carpenter by trade. Given some lumber, a hammer and nails, he could build almost anything.
Cole loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking and backpacking. It wasn’t uncommon for him to walk 20-plus miles just for some exercise. Cole had an exceptional memory and when asked, he could quickly rattle off names of people, places, birthdays, dates and such almost instantly and without hesitation.
Cole was talented in mathematics and could easily solve a number of problems in his head without the need for a pen and paper. His love of numbers helped fuel his interest in numismatics, and one of his favorite hobbies was collecting and trading coins.
Cole loved people and enjoyed visiting with them. His gift of “gab” and hospitality was evident and felt by everyone around him. He often could be found sitting in his breezeway surrounded by friends and family, enjoying a cool drink or barbecue together.
Cole had strong faith and was a born-again believer in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He enjoyed reading and discussing the Bible, and he and his wife, Linda, spent a lot of time together in prayer. Although Cole is gone from here, God’s Word offers us hope: To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Cor. 5:1-8. All who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior will spend eternity together with Him. John 3:16.
Cole is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Malloy) Tindell; his sister, Roxanna (Keith) Lilienthal; his brother, Greg (Lisa) Tindell; three daughters, one son, three nephews, a niece and numerous grandchildren.
A celebration of Cole’s life will be held at a later date.
