SMC launching Lunch and Learn series
PINEHURST – In honor of Heart Health Month, Shoshone Medical Center and the SMC Foundation are putting on a Lunch and Learn.
This is the first in a series of Lunch and Learns planned for 2025. This first, on the topic of heart health, will feature guest speaker Cardiologist Dr. Aaron Notestine. The lunch is free and the event is open to the public.
“The intent of the Lunch and Learn events is to reach out to the Silver Valley community with health education, and information on the health services available to the community here in the valley,” Paul Lewis, CEO of Shoshone Medical Center explained. “Health education and illness prevention are an important part of the services we provide to our local communities. The Lunch and Learns provide a great opportunity to learn from physicians and other medical professionals so we can make positive lifestyle changes and improve health.”
The Lunch and Learn series will be held at the SMC Community Outreach Center at 9 Country Club Lane in Pinehurst. Attendees who wear red in support of Heart Health Awareness will be entered to win a special prize.
The Heart Health Lunch and Learn is Wednesday, February 12, at 12 p.m. RSVP is required for this event.
