Ron Spaulding, 79

Ronald Leroy Spaulding passed away at his home in Pinehurst, Idaho, on May 24, 2025. Ron was 79 years old. He was born in Oceanside, Calif. (San Diego county) on May 31, 1945, to Lois (Estrada) Espinoza and Robert Spaulding. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 30 years, Sharon Spaulding, who went to be with the Lord in 2003. 

Ron was a wonderful, loving father to eight children: Sherrie Neidigh, Ken Foote, Stacy Waller, Sally White, Christine Sink, Rick Spaulding, Maria Dienes and Robyn Spaulding. He was also blessed with 27 grandchildren and more than 60 great-grandchildren. Ron has five brothers and three sisters, as follows: Gary Spaulding, Tommy Spaulding, Geraldine Spaulding-Rivas, Judy Spaulding-White, Leonard Espinoza, Jimmy Espinoza, Johnny Espinoza and Diane Espinoza. Gary, Judy, Geraldine, Leonard and Johnny preceded him in death.

Ron came to the Silver Valley in the 1960s, where he worked for Sunshine Mining Company for many years. He loved the mountains and the outdoors. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and wood carving. Ron loved spending time with his family; he loved the Lord and reading his Bible. Ron loved to learn and was always seeking to learn new things. Ron was a member of the Juaneno tribe of the Acjachemen nation. 

He was very, very loved, and will be missed tremendously.
