| June 13, 2025 1:00 AM

It didn’t take long for summer to land in North Idaho, but it’s going to be a few more weeks until the Kellogg Swimming Pool is ready to cool folks off.

According to City of Kellogg Superintendent Mike Fitzgerald, the pool’s scheduled season opening is Monday, June 30, and will be open through August. The pool’s capacity will depend on the number of available lifeguards on duty. Children under the age of 10, must be accompanied by an adult.

The pool will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with adult lap swimming from 5-6 p.m.

There is no cost to swim at the Kellogg Swimming Pool.

“The City of Kellogg and the lifeguards look forward to seeing you,” Fitzgerald said. “Have a great Summer.”

The Wallace City Pool is already open for the season.

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Wallace City Pool is open seven days a week from 12 – 5 p.m., with lap swimming available Monday through Friday, from 9 – 10 a.m.

Recreational swimming is free to the public, but there is a $3 fee for lap swimming sessions.

The Mullan Swimming Pool at the Mullan Pavilion offers open swimming Monday through Friday from 12 – 2 p.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Water aerobics are Monday through Friday from 7:30 – 9 a.m.
