Chamber Murder Mystery event next week in Wallace
WALLACE – Does an evening of mystery, murder, and fun sound like a good time? Then check out the Silver Valley Chamber’s upcoming interactive production, Murder Mystery: Future Stars of the Silver Valley.
Former Chamber President Juli Zook, who has been involved in the organization of the show and is one of the featured cast members, is excited for the event and promises a night to remember for attendees.
Along with Zook, the show features several of the Silver Valley’s finest, including Drew Plate, Mary Rehnborg, Emily Haas, Jessica Barker, Ryan Mazzrey, Mallorie Flynn, Johnny McGee, Kiely Crawford-McGee, as well as Shoshone County Sheriff Holly Lindsey and Undersheriff Lance Stutzke; All of whom play integral parts of the murder mystery.
“Everybody loves these murder mysteries, and they’ve been really well attended in the past,” Zook said. “It’s so much fun to do these things with locals, including the sheriff and undersheriff.”
The show itself was written by Kellogg native David Pierce, a former theater major and veteran of the Sixth Street Melodrama. The show is a spinoff of reality talent shows like American Idol or America’s Got Talent, where the winner of a previous show has returned to the competition for a special performance, and murderous hijinks ensue.
“David has crafted a story that will keep the audience guessing until the very end,” Zook said. “It’s an original, not out of a box, and totally fun.”
Before the show starts, the chamber will host a special social hour, including heavy appetizers provided by GarrenTeed BBQ.
Hosted at the Wallace Inn, the event is one of the main fundraisers for the chamber, which uses the funds to host several other community events throughout the year.
For those who really want to immerse themselves in the mystery, the Wallace Inn has a special room rate for anyone attending the Murder Mystery who wishes to stay the night.
“We’re so thankful for the Wallace Inn, they’ve been so much fun to work with and are excellent hosts,” Zook said.
