Constance Smith, 77
Constance Smith, 77, passed away May 15, 2025, in Spokane Valley, Wash. Born on April 17, 1948, in Kellogg, Idaho. Constance dedicated her life to nurturing her family and community, embodying the very essence of caring and compassion.
Constance pursued higher education at Gonzaga University, which furthered her commitment to community service and leadership. She chose to channel her energies into her home, serving as a homemaker, which she considered not just a role but her calling. Her home was an extension of her love, where warmth and care were abundant.
Her hobbies included reading, cooking and singing, activities that brought joy not only to her but also to those who had the pleasure of experiencing her talents and warmth. Constance also took an active role in spiritual leadership, guiding others with her wisdom and kindness.
Constance is survived by her sister, Margie Adams; sons Mark Ganley (Christina) and John Ganley III (Michele); grandchildren Noah, Brant, Matthew and Emma; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jimmy Smith; brothers Ralph Braun and David Braun; and her sister, Leona Hattery.
Services will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church, then followed by Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg, on May 30, 2025, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and legacy. Constance's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the profound impact of a caring heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
