The Hilltop in the 1950s when Highway 10 was still the main road through the area. Zadra explained that, at the time, the Hilltop was a popular honky tonk and cars were often parked up and down the road. Cold beer, burgers, good country music and a small dance floor were the attractions in those days.

Historic Hilltop hideaway reopens
KINGSTON — Tradition and history are taken incredibly serious here in the Silver Valley. As an area with enormous amounts of both, this shouldn’t be much of a surprise. Some of these traditions can be seen as good, and some can be seen as bad. Same with the history — some good and some bad.
