'Always felt like home': Silverton Cascadia celebrates 50 years in the Silver Valley

It's been an evolution over the last year as Good Samaritan Society - Silver Wood Village transitioned into Silverton Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia, but the mission has never truly changed. The close-knit community of the Silver Valley has been a home for rehabilitation, assisted living and independent living facility for 50 years. The facility celebrated with a community picnic last Saturday to share memories and honor the legacy of the care center with staff and residents.
