Sunshine Mine Fire remembered after 52 years in Shoshone County

In the looming shadow of the statue standing tall with a glowing headlamp to memorialize the miners who lost their lives on May 2, 1972, students from Kellogg High School clasped mining helmets with the lights still on. 91 helmets symbolize the 91 miners who were unable to make it to the surface when in the Sunshine Mine Fire.
