Notice of Public Hearing on the Status of Funded Activities The City of Osburn received an Idaho Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $500,000 from the Idaho Department of Commerce. This funding is allocated to the State of Idaho from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. These funds are currently being used for the construction of the second phase of the Shoshone County Fire District #1 Emergency Services Facility. The hearing will include a review of project activities and accomplishments to date, a summary of all expenditures to date, a general description of remaining work and any changes made to the scope of work, budget, schedule, location or beneficiaries. The hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Project information will be available for review at Osburn City Hall, 921 E. Mullan Ave., Osburn, Idaho. Verbal and written comments will be accepted up to and at the hearing. Information provided at the public hearing will be available, upon request, five days prior to the hearing. Aldene Ann Bourgard, a resident of Colville, Wash., passed away July 31, 2019, in Spokane, Wash., at the age of 85. Aldene was born on Nov. 1, 1933, in Lemmon, S.D., one of 13 children to John and Maria (Fitzgerald) Weightman.

Gary Alvin Bokelman, age 75, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehab in Staunton, VA. He was born on May 8, 1944, in Willmar, MN, the son of the late Alvin and Garnet (Werder) Bokelman. Gary was twice married. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hildeyard Bleeke Bokelman, as the result of a car accident in 1970. On December 23, 1975, he married Darlene Schmiesing Bokelman, who survives in Franklin, WV.

Nancy Kay Buddenberg who had a smile that could brighten everyone’s day, passed away at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg, Idaho on August 15, 2019. Nancy fought and conquered breast cancer five times over the past twenty years; but her body in the end got too weak to continue to fight and she peacefully passed away with her daughter by her side.

Richard Aro Dick Wild, 71
Dick peacefully slipped into the arms of Jesus, his Savior, on August 5th. He was born to Albert and Eleanor (Aro) Wild in Wallace, Idaho on January 29, 1948. In his early years, Dick’s family lived in the Silver Valley, later moving to Coeur d Alene where he attended St. Thomas grade school and Coeur d Alene Jr. High. As a boy, Dick’s father gave him a gift that he continued to pursue throughout his life: his love for fly fishing.

Rosie Hinsz passed away on August 4, 2019. Rosie was born in Seattle, Washington on October 13, 1939. At a very young age Rosie and her sister Carol were adopted by loving parents, L.C. and Laura Gray of Burke Road, Wallace, Idaho. She grew up in the Wallace area graduating from Wallace High School in 1957. She married Eldor Hinsz and together they had two sons. They resided in Woodland Park, Wallace for many years. Eldor passed away in 1990 and she later moved to Rathdrum, Idaho. She worked many years as a bookkeeper and civil employee for Shoshone County Courthouse. She enjoyed family, reading and her spectacular Christmas time family dinners.

ROSE LAKE – On August 3rd, 2019 at around 7:10 p.m. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Shoshone Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a boat fire on Rose Lake. It was reported the boat was in the middle of the lake and had exploded. It was also reported that there were no injuries.
