From the 1910 fire to being declared the Center of the Universe, many notable events have occurred in Wallace throughout the years. One of the more memorable events in the town’s history began on June 30, 1916 when Herman J. Rossi shot Clarence Dahlquist in the lobby of the Samuel’s Hotel.

She was born April 26, 1978 in Murray Utah; April was the daughter of Ted Hermansen and Sue Folker. At a young age April moved to the Silver Valley with her family. Over the years she lived in Montana but always considered the Silver Valley home.

Arrests made in Pinehurst burglary spree
The Pinehurst Police Department tells the News-Press that an investigation, and the subsequent filing of criminal charges, occurred after the Pinehurst Library made a Faceboook posts on June 1 that called out multiple youths that were smoking behind the Pinehurst Library on Memorial Day.
Judge grants city, Festival summary judgment
